Our jackets are made only when we receive orders. This helps to reduce the overall waste and pollution of creating clothing. Our entire production cycle from order to dispatching the jackets takes approximately 6 weeks for our Leather jackets and 7-8 weeks for our Nubuck jackets. If any delays occur throughout the process, we inform customers so they are in the loop. We begin our processing cycle for new jackets within 3 business days of receiving your order.
Unlike other fashion brands, we work with the leather from start to finish. We use Grade A sheep hides, a material that encompasses 7% of the total hides that are available. First, our selected hides go through a tanning process. During this step, the hides are treated with colour essential oils to give each fabric a soft and rich finish. Our Nubuck goes through this process twice to ensure proper penetration into the Nubuck fibres. The hides are then dried, for 24-48 hours for Leather and 72 hours for Nubuck. They are shaved to even out thickness and an Aniline or Semi-Aniline finish is applied. Throughout the tanning process, different aspects of our water-repellent solution are added three separate and specific times to ensure the solution gets properly embedded into the fibres of the leather. Our entire leather production cycle takes 15-17 business days for Leather and 17-20 business days for Nubuck.
The finished hides are now ready to become jackets. The hides are selected, hand cut, and stitched into specific styles. This ensures each piece is made to its highest quality. The jackets then go through a second screening and inspected one more time for dye, cut, and stitching quality. Jacket production is completed in 10 business days for both Leather and Nubuck jackets and then shipped to Vancouver, BC Canada. Shipping time varies between 5-8 business days.
